Thanks for stopping by at our booth at On & On MKE.  Below are some FAQs that we hope answer any questions you may have about the items in our booth.

ARE YOUR ITEMS VINTAGE?
Yes!  We seek out quality authentic vintage items.  The items at our booth at On & On MKE range in age from the 1930s to the Y2K eras.
WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF YOUR VINTAGE?
Due to the age of vintage items, you may notice small blemishes, wear, or imperfections. These are normal and often add to the character and history of the piece. While we carefully select items for quality, some signs of aging, such as slight discoloration, scuffs, or patina, are to be expected and are part of their vintage charm.  Please review each item before purchase to make sure you are aware of any imperfections, wear and overall condition.
CARING FOR VINTAGE COSTUME JEWELRY
In general, we only sell vintage costume jewelry what is referred to as ‘fashion jewelry’ today.  Vintage jewelry will have a thicker plating of silver or gold than you find in 'new' jewelry today and use materials such as faux stones, rhinestones and faux pearls. Vintage costume jewelry only requires only a bit of special attention vs new fashion jewelry. Do not get your vintage jewelry wet or use harsh cleaners. This is especially true for rhinestones or faux pearls. When washing your hands, it's best to remove your vintage rings. Apply your hair spray and perfume prior to putting on your jewelry. Store your jewelry carefully avoiding moisture, heat or extreme temperature changes. A jewelry box or storage bag will keep your vintage jewelry in good condition for years to come.
A SPECIAL NOTE ON EARRINGS
We inspect all earrings and replace the backs if necessary.  Due to the nature of vintage, we are not able to identify the metal of the earring post (this is also true of all of our pieces).  Please use caution if you have metal allergies.  Also, even though we clean all earrings, please clean the post of the earrings before wearing.
HOW WE PRICE OUR VINTAGE
Our goal is to make vintage attainable and affordable offering a wide range of options and price points.  Some items are "unmarked" with no identification of who made it.  This does not mean it is not as valuable as a marked piece.  The overall condition, style, and rarity are some of the factors that determine price.
ITEM PROVENANCE
We curate our vintage from many sources including estate sales, antique dealers, and private sellers.  All our items have been pre-owned and used.  Given the nature and age of the items we sell, generally it is not possible to outline the background or provenance of an item. Similarly, it is not possible to conclude if the item has always been in a smoke or pet free environment or if any repairs such as replacement stones have been made.  All items are sold as-is.
